Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Dundee

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, known as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn in Scotland, visited the City of Dundee on January 29th. They first officially opening Scotland’s first design museum, the V&A Dundee, where the Duchess gave short speech, in her role as Patron of V&A, which was followed by a walkabout on the waterfront. Afterwards, the Duke and Duchess met with employees and their families from the Dundee Michelin factory, to hear first-hand how the factory’s planned closure is affecting them, before attending the Michelin Action Group, aiming to find and take forward solutions for repurposing the plant and providing a sustainable future for its skilled workforce, where the Duke gave a short speech.
