The Queen visited the King George VI Day Centre in Windsor, to mark the 60th anniversary of the Centre’s opening and the 70th anniversary of the Windsor Old People’s Welfare Association, on April 12th. She toured the facility and met some of the local residents who were taking part in an exercise class. The Queen also met volunteers in the hair salon and in the kitchen, who provide lunch for local elderly residents during the week, before signing the visitor’s book and cutting the cake.
