Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Birmingham

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Birmingham on March 8th to learn more about the work of two projects which support young people from the local community.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle started their visit at an event at the Millennium Point to celebrate International Women’s Day. They joined the young women as they take part in building apps and touchpads, before hearing more about their motivations to pursue STEM subjects.

Afterwards, Prince Harry and Ms. Markle visited the Nechells Wellbeing Centre to join Birmingham’s Coach Core apprentices as they take part in a training masterclass led by Create Development. They chatted to the apprentices about their experiences of the programme before joining them in the sports hall as they deliver practice training sessions.
