Happy Anniversary to Archduke Karl and Archduchess Francesca von Habsburg! The Heir to the House of Hapsburg-Lorraine married Baroness Francesca Thyssen-Bornemisza at the Mariazell Basilica in Austria. The bride wore a stunning Versace gown with the Habsburg Pearl and Diamond Bandeau and the 200-year-old Habsburg veil. The couple are now separated but remain close, and are often together with their three children.

Gosh! I remember this wedding because of the very unusual wedding dress and veil. I can’t believe it’s been 25 years. It’s a pity they’re separated. But at least they’re still friends.
I always do a double take when I see these photos. When I first saw them, I thought her long auburn hair was some sort of “fur under-collar” – if such a thing exists! Does anyone else see this? It certainly was an unforgetable high fashion look.
Hehehehe! I know exactly what you mean! It was very unusual to see her hair peeking out from under her collar! 🙂
Is Francesca’s resemblance to Maria Elizabeth Mastrantonio as Maid Marion purely coincidental?!
