Happy Birthday to Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco, who turn 3 today! The only legitimate children of Prince Albert II and South African Princess Charlene, the Princess was born first, followed two minutes later by her brother, who, under Male-preference primogeniture, automatically became Heir to the Principality. The twins also have two elder half-siblings, which were born out of wedlock and are thus unable to succeed to the Principality. In addition to being the Hereditary Prince, Prince Jacques also received the title of Marquis of Baux, while Princess Gabriella was made Countess of Carladès. The twins were baptised at the Cathedral of Monaco in May 2015, wearing Baby Dior christening gowns embellished with Calais lace, floral embroidery, pleated detailing, and their own monograms. They do not carry out official duties, but attend some events alongside their parents, as well as the National Day celebrations. I wish TSH’s a very Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns!

These two kids are growing like weeds!!! And I’ve noticed that Princess Gabriela is overcoming her shyness. I hope they both continue to grow in confidence and knowledge. I wish them and their parents much joy!
