Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in India- Day 2

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are on an 11-day visit to Singapore, Malaysia, and India from October 30th to November 9th, at the request of the British Government, to celebrate the United Kingdom’s partnership with these Commonwealth Nations on shared priorities in advance of the Commonwealth Summit in April 2018. On the morning of November 9th, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visited India Gate in New Delhi, India’s national war memorial for soldiers, where they laid a wreath and observed a two minute silence. Afterwards, the Duchess visited The Women on Wheels Service, which helps to train and employ female taxi drivers. The Prince visited BYST for their 25th anniversary and presented entrepreneurs with Silver Jubilee Awards. In the evening, the Prince attended a reception celebrating the relationship between India and the UK at the High Commissioner’s Residence.
