Duchess of Cambridge at Lawn Tennis Association

The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) in London on October 31st. She became Patron of the LTA in December 2016, taking over  from the Queen, who held the role for 64 years. This was the Duchess’ first solo engagement since announcing her third pregnancy last month

Upon arrival, the Duchess receives a briefing from key representatives of the LTA on its latest grass roots activities and high-performance objectives. She then watched several on-court sessions and had the the chance to take part in the Tennis for Kids session. The Duchess also met some of the UK’s top junior talents as well as members of the training team including coaches, nutritionists and physiotherapists who shared what it takes to be a top junior player. Finally, she met some of the Coach Core apprentices who led a tennis training session.
