Wedding of Princess Alexandra of Kent
The Wedding of Princess Alexandra of Kent and the Hon. Angus Ogilvy, son of the Earl of Airlie at Westminster Abbey on this day in 1963 . The only daughter of Prince George, Duke of Kent and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, Princess Alexandra is the only paternal female cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, and so her Wedding was a major State Occasion, including a Ball at Windsor Castle, with a King and eight Queens among Royal Guests and Relatives in attendance, many more than at the Wedding of Princess Margaret three years previously. Princess Alexandra and the late Sir Angus had two children, and were happily married until his death in 2004. Continue reading
Royals at London Marathon 2017
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry cheered on runners at the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon as part of their Heads Together Campaign on April 23rd. Kent City of London Fringe Tiara
Given as a wedding gift to a Greek Princess who married a British Prince, this Fringe Tiara was loaned to her only daughter, and can now be seen on her colourful Austrian daughter-in-law.
Queen at Newbury Races
Queen Elizabeth II attended the Newbury Races at the Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire on her 91st Birthday, April 21st, and April 22nd. One of the Queen’s horses was racing each day. Continue reading

Queen Beatrix’s 60th Birthday
King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands will celebrate his 50th Birthday on April 27th. Though the royal family will be in Tilburg on the 27th, they are hosting a Gala Dinner Royal Palace in Amsterdam for 150 guests.
