The Queen held a reception to celebrate the work & Patronages of Princess Alexandra in honour of her 80th Birthday in December. The Queen and the Princess met representatives and volunteers from the nearly 100 charities supported by the Princess. Princess Alexandra also gave a speech.
The Queen and Princess Alexandra met with representatives and volunteers from the nearly 100 charities supported by the Princess, such as Guide dogs, St. Christopher’s Hospice, Anchor, and Alexandra Rose. Princess Alexandra also gave a speech, saying; “The success of a Charity relies heavily on the dedication of hard-working volunteers,I am proud to know of the excellent progress you continue to make in the many different fields represented here.” The Countess of Wessex was also present.
The Queen wore a pale green suit with her Three Strand Pearl Necklace and the Flame Lily Brooch. Princess Alexandra wore a white suit with her pearl choker and six-petal diamond brooch. The Countess of Wessex wore a red dress. The Duchess of Gloucester wore a grey top and skirt with pearls.
