Swedish National Day 2017

The members of the Swedish Royal Family were out in full force for Swedish National Day on June 6th.

Earlier in the day, annual new photos were released of Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, taken by Erika Gerdemark at Haga Palace, in National dress.

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia visited Växjö, while Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited Järfälla. Prince Carl Philip opened the Royal Palace of Stockholm to the Public, and then attended the scholarships in the drawing competition “The thinking hand.” He was also present at the changing of the guard.

In the evening, the entire Royal Family rode in a carriages to attend a concert at Skansen. For the concert, the ladies changed into Sverigedräkten, Swedish National dress since 1983. King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia were joined by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl-Phillip, Princess Sofia, Princess Madeleine, and Christopher O’Neil. Later, they attended the National Day Reception.
