The Royal Court of Albania has announced the Marriage of Crown Prince Leka of Albania and Blerta Celibashi, who got married at the Château Apponyi in Slovakia on March 15th.
Crown Prince Leka II of Albania married Blerta Celibashi in a private ceremony at the Château Apponyi in Slovakia, which was a former residence of the family of his late grandmother, Queen Geraldine, who was born Countess Géraldine Apponyi de Nagy-Appony.
The Royal Court has the distinct pleasure of announcing the marriage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Leka of the Albanians to Miss Blerta Celibashi.
The marriage was celebrated in a private ceremony, preserving its intimate and solemn character.
The official photograph released on this occasion was taken at the Château Apponyi in Slovakia. It was the historic residence associated with Her Majesty Queen Geraldine of the Albanians, born into the Hungarian noble family of Apponyi, whose legacy remains a cherished part of the Royal Family’s history.
Following the marriage, Princess Blerta will bear the family name Zogu and the title Princess of the Albanians.

Reigning and Former Royals gathered from around the World to attend the Wedding of Crown Prince Leka of Albania and Elia Zaharia in Tirana in 2016. They had one daughter, Princess Geraldine, before their divorce in 2024.
