Royalty at UEFA Women’s EURO Final

The Prince of Wales, President of the FA, and Princess Charlotte joined Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofia of Spain to attend the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 Final at St. Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland on July 27th.

England qualified for the final after beating Italy on Tuesday in Geneva and will face Spain, winners of the second semifinal against Germany on Wednesday. The defending champions could become the second team, after eight-time champions Germany, to successfully defend their crown.

Basel’s St. Jakob-Park will host the 2025 final. FC Basel’s modern stadium, nicknamed ‘Joggeli’ by locals, opened in 2001 to replace the old St. Jakob Stadium, the venue for the 1954 FIFA Men’s World Cup.

As the President of the Football Association, the Prince of Wales congratulated Team England after their victory over Spain at the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 Final.

The Princess of Wales, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, led Royalty at the Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz on July 13th. Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is widely regarded as the most prestigious. The Princess of Wales is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club while the Duchess of Gloucester is the President of the Lawn Tennis Association.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte have joined the Prince and Princess of Wales, Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, for the Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. King Felipe VI of Spain is also present.

The Princess of Wales, Patron of The AELTC, presented the Gentlemen’s Singles Trophy to Jannik Sinner of Italy following his victory against Carlos Alcaraz of Spain during the Gentleman’s Singles Final on day fourteen of The Championships at Wimbledon.
