Diamond Bow Brooch

A Diamond Bow Brooch set with rose and old-cut diamonds, 18k gold and silver (French and customs marks), circa 1850, which can an also be worn as a pendant.

This brooch belonged to Elena of Montenegro, Queen of Italy (1873-1952), daughter of Nicholas I, King of Montenegro (1841-1921).

Princess Maria Pia of Savoy, born on September 24, 1934, in Naples, is the eldest daughter of King Umberto II of Italy and Princess Marie-José of Belgium. A member of the House of Savoy, she became, through her marriages, first Princess of Yugoslavia and later Princess of Bourbon-Parma.
