New Portraits of the King and Queen of Malaysia 

The Malaysian Royal Court released Official Portraits of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia) and Raja Permaisuri Agong (Queen of Malaysia) ahead of the Sultan of Johor’s Installation as the XVII Yang di-Pertuan Agong later today.

Royalty and Heads of State from around the Malay Peninsula have gathered for the Installation of Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Johor as the XVII Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia) in a series of Ceremonies at the Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur.

Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Johor will be Installed as the XVII Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia) in a series of Ceremonies after his Accession in January. The King and Queen will host an Installation Banquet for Foreign Dignitaries and Malay Royalties tomorrow.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong wore the traditional Royal Regalia, including the Tengkolok Diraja, Bengkung, Keris Pendek Diraja, and Pendek Diraja

Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah wore the Gandik Diraja Tiara and the Kalung Diraja Necklace for the first time.
