Happy Birthday to Princess Beatrice of York, Countess Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who turns 35 today! The late Queen’s eldest male-line granddaughter who is a champion of dyslexia-related charities and the 9th-in-line to the Throne, Princess Beatrice has been loaned Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara from her grandmother and the York Diamond Tiara from her mother, but one of her most prominent personal jewels appears to be these striking modern Diamond Earrings!
A pair of striking chain-link Diamond Earrings in a modern design, the Earrings were likely a gift to Princess Beatrice from Count Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi to mark their wedding in 2020 or to mark the birth of their daughter, Sienna, in 2021. Since her ears are not pierced, these pieces must be clip-ons and may be custom-made by Chopard, a couple of whose pieces have been worn by Princess Beatrice int he past year.
The Diamond Earrings appeared last year, when they were worn by Princess Beatrice for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Service at St Paul’s Cathedral in the midst of a busy weekend of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
Later that year, Princess Beatrice wore the Diamond Earrings again when she supported the Princess of Wales for the Together at Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey.
More recently, Princess Beatrice wore her modern Diamond Earrings for the Wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Rajwa Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif at the Zahran Palace in Amman.
That evening, Princess Beatrice wore the Diamond Earrings again, with the York Diamond Tiara borrowed from her mother when King Abdullah II and Queen Rania hosted a spectacular Banquet for Foreign Royal Guests at the Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman, to celebrate the Wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein. There is no doubt we will continue to see these earrings for years to come!
Princess Beatrice also wore her Diamond Earrings when she and Count Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi attended the Vogue World: London show at Theatre Royal in Drury Lane.
