French State Visit to The Netherlands 

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands are hosting French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron, on their two-day State Visit to The Netherlands on April 11th and 12th to promote and celebrate diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties, and deepening of cooperation, in which France and the Netherlands strive for a stronger, greener and safer Europe. The Dutch King and Queen went on a State Visit to France in 2014.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima officially welcomed President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron outside the Royal Palace on Dam Square in Amsterdam. After an inspection of the guard of honour, the President laid a wreath at the National Monument on Dam Square, which was followed by a reception with Dutch authorities and the French dignitaries.

In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima (wearing the Antique Pearl Tiara) hosted a State Banquet in honour of President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. Both the King and President gave speeches. Princess Laurentien (wearing the Laurel Wreath Tiara) was also present.
