The Royal Family attended the annual Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cenotaph on Whitehall in London on Remembrance Sunday, November 14th, honouring those who have lost their lives in conflict, with this year marking the Centenary of the unveiling of the Royal British Legion. The Royal Family attended the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall last night, but the Queen has had to pull out due to a strained back, for only the seventh time during her 70-year reign.
The Prince of Wales placed The Queen's wreath and his own on the Cenotaph, followed by The Duke of Cambridge, then the Earl of Wessex and the Princess Royal.

The #RemembranceSunday service at the Cenotaph comes to an end with a very loud and heartfelt rendition of ‘God Save The Queen’.
Her Majesty will no doubt be watching on from Windsor Castle.

At the beginning of the solemn ceremony, the Royal Family watched Armed Forces personnel form a square around the memorial, which was followed by a 2-minute silence, after which members of the Royal Family; the Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge, Princess Royal, and the Earl of Wessex, laid wreaths on the Cenotaph memorial. The Prince of Wales also laid a wreath on behalf of the Queen, for the fourth year in a row. Following the ceremony, the National Anthem played as the Royal Family departed the Ceremony.
