Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa of Luxembourg welcomed the Grand Ducal Family to the Château de Berg for a reunion ahead of the Concert commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late Grand Duke Jean. The concert of the Solistes Européens Luxembourg at the Philharmonie de Luxembourg, paid tribute to the former Head of State:

In the first part of the concert, David Ianni performed his piece “Adieu” on the piano before giving way to the soloists who, accompanied by the conductor Christoph König and the violinist Gil Shaham, delivered a moving tribute to Grand Duke Jean under the enchanted eyes of his family and spectators.

The Grand Duke of Luxembourg from 1964 to 2000, when he abdicated in favour of his son, Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duke Jean had joined the Irish Guards during the Second World War and took part in the liberation of Luxembourg, and passed away in 2019, at the age of 98.
