The Queen (wearing the Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara and the Cambridge Emerald Parure) hosts a Banquet for her Commonwealth Prime Ministers at Buckingham Palace on this day in 1961, during the annual Commonwealth Prime Minister’s Conference in London, which came right after the Queen finished an extensive 2-month Tour of India and Pakistan and State Visits to Nepal and Iran.
