The Wedding of Prince Arthur of Connaught, son of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia, and Princess Alexandra, Duchess of Fife, daughter of Princess Louise of Wales and the Duke of Fife, in the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace in London on this day in 1913. The couple had one son, Prince Alastair (styled as the Earl of Macduff after 1917), and were the Governor General and Viceregal Consort of South Africa in the 1920s, remaining married until Prince Arthur’s death in 1938.
