— Prince Albert (@Albert_PrinceC) April 11, 2013Queen Victoria greets Prince Albert and the Hunting Party, including the Earl of Aberdeen, Sir Charles Phipps, and John Brown, as they display the stags hunted during the day, which was painted by Carl Haag in the companion to Morning in the Highlands. The painting was given to Prince Albert by Queen Victoria on his birthday in August 1854. The current Balmoral Castle was still under construction in 1854, so the Royal Family was staying at the old castle, which was demolished two years later.
