— Rick Evers (@RickEversRoyal) November 23, 2019Princess Margriet of the Netherlands (wearing the Dutch Diamond Prong Tiara and Queen Wilhelmina’s Diamond Trellis Necklace) and Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven attended the 38th annual Peter Stuyvesant Ball at The Plaza Hotel in New York City on the evening of November 22nd. The ball is organized by the Netherland America Foundation, of which the couple are patrons, and was themed to mark the centenary of KLM, the Royal Dutch Airlines, The Netherland America Foundation (NAF) develops numerous activities in the cultural, scientific and educational fields with the aim of promoting Dutch-American friendship. The proceeds of the Ball are used for scholarships and other exchange programs in the field of education, science and culture.
