King George II of Greece (wearing the British Order of the Garter) was joined by the Duke (in the Greek Order of the Redeemer) and the Greek-born Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent (a cousin of the King, wearing the Cambridge Sapphire Parure and the Order of Saints Olga and Sophia) as they attended the Anglo-Hellenic Ball in London on this day in 1938, organised by the Greek Ambassador and Madame Simopoulos along with the Anglo-Hellenic League.
