Order of St John 900th Anniversary, 1999

The Duke Of Gloucester, Grand Prior of the Order Of St John, and the Duchess Of Gloucester, a Dame of Justice of the Order Of St John, attend a Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral to mark the nonacentenery (900th Anniversary) of The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem on this day in 1999, and to observe the Constitution of the New Priory of England and the Islands. In the evening, the Duke and Duchess attended a Dinner hosted by the Corporation of London to mark the 900th Anniversary at the Guildhall in London.

The Queen also paid tribute to the volunteers of St John’s Ambulance, when she unveiled a plaque to mark the 900th Anniversary of the Order.
