The Funeral of Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain in the Church of the Sacred Heart in Lausanne on this day in 1969, followed by the burial in the Cemetery Bois-de-Vaux. In 1985, her grandson, King Juan Carlos, had Queen Victoria Eugenie’s remains returned to Spain where they were interred in the Pantheon of the Kings in the Royal Crypt of the Monastery of El Escorial.
