After their Accession in October 2000, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa hosted a series of celebrations to mark their Enthronement on this day in 2001. After a Tour of Luxembourg City in the morning, the main event was a grand Dinner and Gala Performance at the Grand Ducal Palace, with Heirs from around Europe, including Crown Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, Crown Prince Philippe and Crown Princess Mathilde of Belgium, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein, and Hereditary Prince Albert of Monaco.

Oh, my! How things have changed! I can’t believe it’s already been 18 years! Everybody looks impossibly young and beautiful. 🙂 Congratulations to the Grand Duke and Duchess. I wish them joy!
