The Queen was joined by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke of York at the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey on March 11th, Commonwealth Day. After the service, the Queen and members of the Royal Family met people involved in the service and walked by the Commonwealth Flag Bearers upon departure. The Queen is the Head of the Commonwealth, and the Commonwealth Service is the largest annual inter-faith gathering in the United Kingdom. The Queen has sent a message to the Commonwealth for the occasion.
Everyone looked lovely! There isn’t one that didn’t! And I love that the Queen wore the Kent Amethyst brooch. That one of her loveliest and the one with probably the longest history.
