King Harald and Queen Sonja’s Silver Anniversary Cruise

Over Forty Royal Guests and Relatives from around Europe joined the Norwegian Royal Family for King Harald V and Queen Sonjas spectacular Silver Wedding Anniversary Celebrations in Oslo, followed by a 3-Day Cruise around north-western Norway on this day in 1993, 30 years ago.

After the series of Galas, Services, and Banquets in Oslo to mark their Silver Wedding Anniversary, King Harald and Queen Sonja took their Royal Guests on a cruise around Norway on the Royal Yacht Norge and Danish Royal Yacht Dannebrog on this day in 1993, which stopped at several picturesque locations. Royal attendees included Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik of Denmark, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Queen Beatrix and Crown Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, King Juan Carlos, Queen Sofia, Infanta Elena, and Infanta Cristina of Spain, Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte, King Constantine, Queen Anne Marie, and Princess Alexia of Greece, Princess Benedikte and Prince Richard of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Princess Anne, and the Earl of Wessex.
