Swedish State Visit to Finland, 2003

King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, and Crown Princess Victoria started their State Visit to Finland on this day in 2003, where they were hosted by President Tarja Halonen. The main events included a State Banquet hosted by the President in honour of the King, Queen (wearing the Leuchtenberg Sapphire Tiara), and Crown Princess (in the Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara), the City of Hamina’s 350th Anniversary, and a Return Banquet hosted by the King, Queen (in the Connaught Diamond Tiara), and Crown Princess (wearing the Baden Fringe Tiara) for the President and First Gentleman.
