The 36th Birthday Party of Diana, Princess of Wales (wearing Queen Mary’s Art Deco Emerald Choker) at the Tate Gallery in London on this day in 1997. This was the Princess’ last Birthday, as she tragically died in a car crash in Paris the following month. Interestingly, her eldest son, Prince William, and both daughters-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex, are currently 36.
