Queen at Royal College of Physicians

The Queen visited the Royal College of Physicians of London at their headquarters near Regent’s Park on February 20th to mark the 500th anniversary of the body’s founding Charter.

During her visit to the Royal College of Physicians of London, the Queen was shown the original Charter document from 1518, together with the RCP’s portrait of Henry VIII and historical exhibits covering innovation in medicine. She met College staff and members of the medical profession, before unveiling a plaque and a new commemorative Charter to mark the anniversary.

The Queen wore a pale blue coat and hat over a floral dress, pairing her customary Three Strand Pearl Necklace with the Diamond and Pearl Navette Brooch.
