Queen Margrethe of Denmark, Crown Prince Frederik, and Crown Princess Mary hosted a New Year’s Levee at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen on January 4th. Queen Margrethe also hosted a New Year’s Banquet on the 1st, and Levee on the 3rd.
After arriving in the famous Guldkareten, Queen Margrethe of Denmark, joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, hosted a New Year’s Levee for Officers from the Defence, the Danish Emergency Management Agency, Invited Representatives of large National Organizations, and royal patronage, at Christiansborg Palace.
Queen Margrethe wore the fur trimmed navy damask gown she always wears for the event with the earrings and brooch from the Pearl Poiré Parure, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant, and the insignia of her other Orders. Crown Prince Frederik wore Uniform with his medals, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant, and the insignia of his other Orders. Crown Princess Mary wore a champagne skirt and a brown jacket with statement earrings, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant, and Queen Margrethe’s Family Order.
