  1. The Duchess was wearing a bracelet that Queen Elizabeth wore at the opening of Parliament back in 2010, so she’s wearing two heirloom pieces on loan from her grandmother-in-law! I’m noticing the Duchess likes earrings and bracelets. Maybe those will be her signature pieces as she grows into her role of future queen, just like the brooches have been for Queen Elizabeth. But I do hope the Duchess develops a love for brooches because it would be so sad not to be able to see Queen Elizabeth’s magnificent collection if she doesn’t!

    1. I share your fear for the Queen’s brooches, but think there is hope with Camilla! Kate does tend to wear brooches on special occasions, so we will probably see some pieces! And I wrote and published this article earlier today, and was in class when I read about the Queen’s bracelet, so haven’t had a chance to update it. Thanks for pointing that out!
