The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of the 1851 Trust, attended the charity’s final Land Rover BAR Roadshow on June 16th at the Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre in London. Click HERE to take a look at the Duchess opening the new Tech Deck education centre in Portsmouth last May, and HERE to see the Duke and Duchess watching America’s Cup racing last July.
The Duchess of Cambridge joined a small group of young people taking part in an educational treasure hunt where they needed to answer questions on science and technology, Land Rover BAR and the America’s Cup. Afterwards, she took part in an ocean plastics sea-bird activity, which highlighted the damage caused by single use plastics and promotes sustainability. Later, the Duchess and some of the school children spoke to Sir Ben Ainslie, the Team Principal and Skipper of Land Rover BAR, about the team’s experiences so far in the America’s Cup.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a cream top and blazer with J Crew sailor pants and gold earrings.
