Upon arrival, the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were met by the Headmaster and Chairman of Governors of Pangbourne College, before they proceeded to the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel, to attend a service to mark the school’s centenary. Afterwards, they met current students, parents, staff and College alumni, before having lunch. After lunch, the Queen and Duke watched a College Parade, reflecting the College’s longstanding military connection. During the Parade, she presented a new military flag, or ‘colour’, to the College. The Queen also presented The Queen’s Gold Medal to two students before departing.
