Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the 2016 Princess Grace awards gala on October 24th in New York City. Princess Grace Foundation’s mission is dedicated to identifying and assisting emerging talent in theater, dance, and film by awarding grants in the form of scholarships, apprenticeships, and fellowships. In total, the Foundation awards over $1 million to artists in theater, dance, and film.
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene walked the red carpet before attending the awards ceremony and gala. Princess Charlene accepted flowers from a little girl, and also gave a speech. Among the guests were actresses Rose Leslie, Naomi Campbell, Queen Latifah and designer Tommy Hilfiger.
Princess Charlene wore a white floral custom-made Dior gown from the S/S 2017 collection with diamond chandelier earrings and an enamel shamrock brooch, probably to honour her late Irish-American mother-in-law.
