One of my favorite royal documentaries, Charles and Di: In Private In Public, was shot during the late 1980s. It includes glimpses of private family life, as well as official events and royal tours.

The documentary includes highlights of many events in the late 1980s and a song by Mark Knopfler specially composed for this programe. Footage from the 1988 Royal Tour of Australia and America is also included, as well as footage of the many engagements performed by the Prince and Princess of Wales. A special glimpse of their private life was shown when the Princess and Princes William and Harry waved of the Prince of Wales’s helicopter. Another special moment was when they celebrated the birthday of the Prince’s valet on the airplane taking them to Australia, as well as when the Spencer Tiara gets stuck on the Princess’s gown after an official dinner in Melbourne.
