King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun of Thailand (มหาวชิราลงกรณ บดินทรเทพยวรา), King Rama X, was formally crowned in a lavish Royal Coronation Ceremony in Bangkok from May 4th to May 6th. King Maha Vajiralongkorn succeeded to the Thai Throne after the 70-year reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 2016.
Originally, this article was planned to take a look at the Thai Royal Tiaras ahead of the Coronation of King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand tomorrow, but on May 1st, the King announced his marriage to the new Queen Suthida, increasing the chances that we might see one of these glittering Tiaras very soon, which have gone unworn for a few years as Queen Sirikit’s health deteriorated! The Official Cremation Ceremonies of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, one of the longest reigning monarchs in the world who had ruled for over 70 years when he died last October, are being celebrated all around Thailand from October 25th to 29th, with the main ceremony in Bangkok on the 26th, which was attended by Foreign Royals and Heads of State.
