The Wedding of Prince Karl Franz of Prussia, son of Prince Joachim of Prussia and Princess Marie-Auguste of Anhalt and grandson of Kaiser Wilhelm II, and Princess Henriette of Schönaich-Carolath, daughter of Prince Johann George of Schönaich-Carolath and Princess Hermine Reuss of Greiz (later Empress Hermine) in Berlin on this day in 1940, in the midst of the Second World War, following a Civil Ceremony at Huis Doorn in The Netherlands, which was held in the presence of the Kaiser and the Empress. The couple had three children, including Prince Franz Wilhelm of Prussia, before their divorce in 1946.
