The Duke and Duchess of Sussex presented their newborn son, the Earl of Dumbarton, 7th-in-line to the Throne and the first bi-racial person in the direct line of Succession, to the press in an interview and photocall, two days after his birth, at St George’s Hall in Windsor Castle on May 8th. They revealed that they will meet with the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh (who they bumped into on the way there) to present their 8th great-grandchild. The Duchess said “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy.”

UPDATE- The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were introduced to the newborn son of the Duke & Duchess of Sussex at Windsor Castle with Ms Doria Ragland. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to announce that they have named their son Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, which is a departure from usual peerage rules in which the eldest son uses a secondary title of the father as a courtesy title, such as the Earl of Dumbarton, though the baby is expected to eventually succeed to the Dukedom of Sussex. Upon the succession of the Prince of Wales, as a male line grandchild of a sovereign, he will be entitled to be called HRH Prince Archie of Sussex, though he can disclaim it!
