The British Royal Family attended the second day of races at the Ascot Racecourse on June 21st. Click HERE to keep updated on our Royal Ascot coverage. Earlier in the Day, the Queen Opened Parliament. The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to the hospital the previous evening as a precautionary measure for treatment of an infection.
For the second day of Royal Ascot 2017, the Queen was accompanied by the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Alexandra, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Lord Fellows, Lord & Lady Vestey, Mr and Mrs James Tollemache, Mr and Mrs James Warren, and Mr James Swartz for the carriage procession from Windsor Castle to the Ascot Racecourse. The Royal Family and their guests spent the day in the Royal Enclosure. Also in attendance were the Earl and Countess of Wessex and the Princess Royal. On Day 2, the races were the Jersey Stakes, Queen Mary Stakes, Duke of Cambridge Stakes, Prince of Wales Stakes, Royal Hunt Cup, and the Sandringham Stakes.
The Queen wore a Stewart Parvin yellow coat and Rachel Trevor-Morgan hat, pairing her customary Three Strand Pearl Necklace with the Flame Lily Brooch. The Prince of Wales wore Morning Dress with a Top Hat. The Duchess of Cornwall wore a pale blue shirtdress and hat with her Four Strand Pearl Choker with Large Diamond Clasp.
The Princess Royal wore a navy skirt with a. checked jacket, blue hat, pearls and a gold brooch. The Earl of Wessex wore Morning Dress with a Top Hat. The Countess of Wessex wore a pink dress with a pink hat.
The Duke of Gloucester wore Morning Dress with a Top Hat. The Duchess of Gloucester wore a patterned dress with a red hat, pearls, and ruby and diamond clips. Princess Michael of Kent wore a cream outfit with multi=coloured pearls.
