Today marks the 80th Anniversary of the Wedding of Crown Princess (later Queen) Juliana of the Netherlands to Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld on January 7th, 1937. Crown Princess Juliana was the only heir of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, and is the grandmother of the current King Willem Alexander. In the picture above, the couple are pictured with Queen Wilhelmina and Princess Armgard of Lippe-Biesterfeld, mother of the groom. Juliana became Queen in 1948.
