Belgian National Day 2018

The Belgian Royal Family celebrated National Day 2018 with a series of ebents on July 20th and 21st. The day commemorates July 21st, 1831 in which Prince Leopold of Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha swore allegiance to the new Belgian constitution, thus becoming the first Head of State of an independent state of Belgium under a constitutional monarchy and parliament. Execution of the Romanovs

Today marks the Centenary of the Execution of the former Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and his family in the cellar of the ‘House of Special Purpose’ in by the orders of the Bolshevik Government that had come to power after the 1917 October Revolution. The family’s tragic fate has fascinated countless people for centuries, with a host of imposters claiming to be one of the members of the family.
