King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands are hosting President Halimah Yacob and First Gentlemen Mohammed Abdullah Alhabshee of Singapore, on two-day State Visit to The Netherlands on November 21st and 22nd to promote and celebrate diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties, especially education and innovation, social inclusion, the circular economy and water. Monaco National Day 2018

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco were joined by members of the Monegasque Princely Family for the annual National Day Celebrations in Monte Carlo on November 19th. National Day, also known as The Sovereign Prince’s Day, is held on the day of St. Rainier, the namesake saint of Prince Rainier II, father of Prince Albert.  Continue reading

Royal Variety Performance 2018

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium on November 19th. The event is in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, of which the Queen is patron, which helps entertainers throughout the UK, who need help and assistance as a result of old age, ill-health, or hard times. This is the first Royal Variety for the couple, though the Duke attended for the first time in 2015. Continue reading

Danish State Visit to Japan, 2004

Queen Margrethe II and Prince Henrik of Denmark started their State Visit to Japan on this day in 2004, where they were hosted by Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan. The Danish royal couple were in Japan to help kick off celebrations marking the following year’s bicentennial of the birth of Hans Christian Andersen, the Danish fairy tale writer. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited Japan in 2017, to mark the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Japan. Continue reading
