Wedding of Crown Prince Leka of Albania
Crown Prince Leka of the Albanians married Ms Elia Zaharia on October 8th at the Royal Palace of Tirana. After the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at the Royal Residence. A number of representatives of foreign royal families were present, including Queen Sofia of Spain and Empress Farah of Iran. A banquet was held at the Royal palace in the evening. Continue reading

Queen Anne of Romania’s Funeral
Queen Anne of Romania, beloved consort of King Micheal, who died on at the start of this month, was buried in Bucharest on August 13. Queen Anne’s body had been laying in State at different locations throughout Romania for the past few days. She was the first member of the royal family to receive a State Funeral since Queen Marie, who died in 1938. Continue reading
Queen Marie’s Diamond Sautoir
After the death of Queen Anne of Romania recently, we decided to do a post on one of her most glittering jewels, which was worn only once. Queen Marie’s Diamond Sautoir is composed of square links connected by diamond chain like links was designed by Cartier in 1919. Originally, the piece featured a 478.68 carat sapphire as a pendent, which was later replaced by a diamond pendent. Continue reading
