Members of the Swedish Royal Family attended a series of events to commemorated the Opening of the session of Parliament (Riksdag) on September 12th in Stockholm. They attended a church service, the opening ceremony, and a concert in the evening. Continue reading
State Opening of Parliament 2017
Queen Elizabeth II was accompanied by the Prince of Wales for the State Opening of Parliament at the Palace of Westminster on the morning of June 21st. This was a ‘dressed down’ version of the State Opening, devoid of pageantry and ceremony, due to the UK General Election. The next State Opening will be in 2019. Danish Opening of Parliament 2016
Queen Margrethe II of Denmark was joined by members of her family at the opening session of the Danish Parliament (Folketinget) at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen on the morning of October 4th.
