Tomorrow marks the 180th Anniversary of the Death of Princess Marie, Countess of Flanders, who was born in 1845! This striking Pearl and Diamond Tiara made for Stéphanie de Beauharnais, Grand Duchess of Baden was returned after the death of her ill-fated granddaughter, Queen Stephanie of Portugal, and given to her sister, the Countess of Flanders, who left it to her own daughter, the Duchess of Vendôme, now on display at the National Museum of Qatar!

Royalty at the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum

Royalty from around the world are leading Heads of State and Dignitaries at the Opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza on November 1st. The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), displays tens of thousands of artefacts including the entire 5,000-piece collection of treasures unearthed with Tutankhamun in one place for the first time since the discovery of the tomb back in 1922.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde at the Vatican

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium had a private Audience with Pope Leo XIV at the Apostolic Palace during a visit to the Vatican on October 27th, which is their third official visit to the Vatican since 2015, following one in 2023, and their attendance at the Funeral of Pope Francis as well as the Inauguration Mass of Pope Leo XIV earlier this year.
