The Debutantes of the 1937 Season curtsied to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (wearing Queen Victoria’s Oriental Circlet Tiara for the first time) during the first Presentation Court of their Reign in the Ballroom of Buckingham Palace on this day in 1937 (85 years ago), and they were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Kent (in her Pearl Bandeau), Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone (wearing her Diamond Palmette Tiara), and the Duchess of Northumberland (in the Foliate Tiara). The Presentation took place just two days before the Coronation of King George VI.
