The Wedding of Lady Kitty Spencer, the eldest daughter of the 9th Earl Spencer and Victoria Lockwood, and Michael Lewis in a Jewish Ceremony at the Villa Aldobrandini in Frascati on July 24th, following a Dinner at the Galleria del Cardinale in Rome the previous evening, and followed by a spectacular Gala Dinner and fireworks display. Two of Lady Kitty’s brothers, Viscount Althorp and Spencer Aitken, walked her up the aisle. Lady Kitty, a niece of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, is the first of her siblings to get married, though two of her younger sister are also engaged.

In addition to members of the extended Spencer Family, guests included the Marquess and Marchioness of Bath, Sabrina Elba, Jade Holland Cooper and Pixie Lott. The Duke (a first cousin of Lady Kitty) and Duchess of Cambridge were reported to be in attendance by the Italian media but no images of them have been made public.

While Lady Kitty did not wear the iconic Spencer Tiara, she did wear a number of exquisite hand-made gowns created by Dolce & Gabbana paired with Bvlgari Jewellery, with the main dress of an ‘intricate floral lace design, featuring a high neck, long sleeves and puffed shoulders, providing an ostentatiously stylish silhouette’. Lady Kitty is a global ambassador for Bvlgari and Dolce & Gabbana, who spoke to Tatler and said:

‘One of the inspirations is definitely her love for Italy. Kitty is in love with our beautiful country and its rich history, art and culture,’ says Domenico Dolce, ‘But she is also a girl who is very attached to her origins, to England; to her heritage of the great Victorian era. And like all the English people, she has a great passion for all kinds of flowers,’ adds Stefano Gabbana.

‘For the main dress she wanted to keep a fairly traditional, clean cut, but at the same time she desired to have a timeless allure,’ explains Gabbana, ‘It was all very natural and authentic. Lady Kitty Spencer described to us her dream dress, and we have tried to interpret her wishes; We worked together!

Lady Kitty Spencer is a girl who is very respectful of her origins, so she certainly started from her Englishness, her memories, her childhood and the traditions of her country. Then, she also let herself be carried away by her passions and her refined and elegant taste. We accompanied her on this journey full of emotions and it was a real honour for us!’

  1. Stunning and amazing dress design. Even better than the Royal wedding. Anyway the bride really carried them well and elegant.
