Queen’s 60th Birthday Party at Claridge’s Hotel, 1986

Following the Wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Queen and members of the Royal Family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales (wearing her Emerald Earrings) and Prince Edward, attended a Party hosted by Lady Elizabeth Anson at Claridge’s Hotel in London on this day in 1986, to celebrate the Queen’s 60th Birthday. Just a few days earlier, the Royal Family has joined royal guests and relatives from around the world for a Ball hosted by the Greek Royal Family at Claridge’s Hotel.

On the Queen’s 60th Birthday that April, the Royal Family had attended a Fanfare for Elizabeth‘ Concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London, among a series of public celebrations spread over a couple of months, which only ended with this private Dinner at Claridge’s.
